This week I presented my website and projects, and finsihed making my lady bug which is now on the bisque shelf. When that comes up, I will glaze and post it and be finished for the year! I will be posting a picture of my second hand project to get graded tonight at home.

Today I started glazing my teapot. I did black on the bottom and on the lid, and put light blue on the outside. The inside of it is also black. I put it on the shelf so I can finish glazing it tomorrow!

This is my teapot. It has been through the bisque kiln and I will be glazing it tomorrow, so hopefully it will be done by the end of this week or the beginning of next!

Because I have been hurt and unable to go on the wheel, I have been making hand projects. So far I have created a turtle and a narwhal. This is my narwhal, and I am going to be putting it on my bisque shelf tomorrow.

Since I will not be able to go on the wheel for the remaining of the school year, I have been doing hand projects! So far I have made a turtle which I placed on the bisque shelf on Friday. My teapot is bisqued and I am waiting till I get off crutches to glaze it. So hopefully I will be done with these two projects soon and have them posted!

Last week I had surgery on my ankle, which kept me from being at school or on a computer. So I haven't been able to update my website lately! But I will be posting my recent activity soon

Today I attached the handle to my teapot, as well as made the spout which I will attach tomorrow. I took pictures of all my projects and I will be posting them tomorrow (my email is not loading so I can not attach the pictures) however, I did not have a solid white background to take them on, so I will be retaking them later and posting the updated versions. But for now, I will just post the ones I have. I have decided on my theme, which is alternating between complex projects and simple glazes and simple projects with complex glazes. I chose this because when the project is simple, the patterns and effects in the glaze pop out more, as well as when the project is complex and the glaze is simple.

I have completed my wheel altered project, and I will be posting pictures of it along with a few other projects tomorrow. I was gone all weekend so I have no had a chance to update it recently. This past week I have been working on making a teapot, and so far I have completed the base, footed it, pulled the handle, and made the top. Tomorrow I will attach the handle as well as make the spout. I will have all my projects (hopefully) glazed and posted by the end of this week!

My wheel altered project is complete and ready to be graded. I need to take a picture of it and upload it, which I will do tomorrow, as well as write a paragraph about it. Once again I have been thinking about what I would like my theme to be, and I'm still leaning towards the idea of simplicity and complexity for each project. Meaning, if the project itself is simple, then the glaze is complex, and visa-verse. I think this fits me because it is what I am good at and what I have done in the past. Although I am still deciding, I think this is what I want to base my theme around. Which makes me begin to think of what I want my theme project to be. I was thinking either a wheel altered project or a vase with carvings in it, with a solid glaze along with it.

This week, I have glazed my wheel altered project, my bowl, and I threw two plates. When I looked at the list of projects yesterday, it said that our next project was two plates, but the updated version doesn't have that, so now I'm just going to use the plates for something else. I'm happy with the way my wheel altered project came out, but the glaze was a little too clear. When I get home I will put my projects onto the grading blog to get them graded.
